CaptureOWATONNA, Minn.� From April 6-17, HomeTown CUs�student tellers promoted savings. An estimated 40-45 students participated during the two weeks, saving over $3,125!� Throughout the high school, the CUNA promotional posters were displayed with savings slogans, and HomeTown�encouraged the students to stop by the student-run�branch. The two week promotion ended with Member Appreciation Days at all of HomeTowns offices where Wild About Savings youth accounts and certificates were promoted. HomeTown offered a certificate of deposit for members ages 12-18 with a 2.015% rate and flexibility to start with a $20 initial investment and add to it. A highlight of the activities was student teller Jack Livingston visiting multiple offices dressed as the zebra from the Wild About Savings theme, he handed out candy and promotional gear as well as helped members with their transactions!
