downloadPORTSMOUTH, NH Service Credit Union partnered with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), which is part of the Rockingham CA$H Coalition, to provide free tax preparation for military service members and their families during the tax season. The VITA program consists of experienced IRS Certified Volunteer Tax Preparers that help people file state and federal tax returns. Approximately 25 military members took advantage of the free program held at Service Credit Unions Pease branch in March and early April. This is the first year the free tax service was offered. "Service Credit Union is honored to host the VITA program at our Pease Branch. We are dedicated to helping the military and their families manage their money in the most efficient way possible," said Gordon Simmons, President/CEO of Service Credit Union.
