Schools Financial Credit Union in Sacramento, CA allows employees to bring their babies to work until the child is six months of age or crawling, whichever comes first. The credit union began this program in 2001, and since then, approximately 70 babies have "been to work". The program allows mothers and fathers to return to work sooner after the birth, adoption, or foster placement of their infant. "We've seen tremendous success with this program" said President/CEO Jim Jordan.
