Deer Park, TX Shell Federal Credit Union and the City of Pasadena have partnered together for the second year to host the Volunteer Expo. This event is designed to encourage individuals of all ages to give back to their communities. Many individuals are in need of volunteer hours or simply want to give back, but are unaware of the many opportunities within our communities. Local nonprofit organizations will be setup to spread the word on giving back and feature their volunteer opportunities.
The Volunteer Expo will be held on April 14
th, 2015 at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, Texas from 4PM to 6PM. There is no entrance fee and attendees will have the opportunity to win door prizes and a Mini iPad.
Last year's event was a great success with over 35 local nonprofit organizations in attendance. The nonprofits were able to educate the 200+ attendees about their organization and ways to get involved. The expo also gave the opportunity for the nonprofit organizations to form new partnerships.
