American 1 Credit Union Gives Back to Community

CaptureJackson, MI - 2015 was another successful year for the American 1 Jackson Womens Expo with over 2,500 guests in attendance. Now in its 13th year American 1 Credit Union has hosted 20 Womens Expos during that time. Attendees to this years event were able to browse products and learn about new businesses from 175 vendors, with over 50 new vendors taking part in the spring expo. As with all American 1 events the focus is giving back to the community. New this year the American Red Cross held a blood drive in conjunction with the expo and had 30 people sign-up and 15 individuals giving. Other charities benefiting from event donations included: Jackson School of the Arts, Womens Leadership Council, Faith Temple Church and the Cascades Humane Society. The American 1 Jackson Womens Expo is popular with many area businesses and returning vendors. That includes supporting businesses like Gold Crown Jewelers who gave away prizes valued over $3,500 as part of the main expo drawing. Other businesses contributed including the Westwood Mall, Pollys Country Market and K-Mart serving as shuttle parking locations.
