CaptureTo celebrate National Credit Union Youth Month this April, Affinity Group Credit Union has invited the Metroparks Mobile Learning Unit to visit all 6 Southeast MI CU Branches.
"The Mobile Learning Unit is an interpretive outreach program providing an opportunity for people to connect to the natural resources and cultural heritage of southeast Michigan," explained Metroparks Interpretive Services Manager Jennifer Hollenbeck. "This program was specifically designed to meet the needs of teachers with limited resources."
The Metroparks will be bringing some of their wildlife buddies with them when they visit the credit union. From snakes to frogs to salamanders, credit union Kool Kid members and field trips from local elementary schools will have the opportunity to view, touch and learn. The Partnership between the Affinity Group Credit Union, the Metroparks and Affinity Foundation for MI Kids (AFMK) was launched in 2014 when AFMK made available $3,500 in grants to the Metroparks. These grants are providing opportunities for local schools to visit the Metroparks Interpretive Centers and bring the Metroparks to their school through the Mobile Learning Unit. In support of this grant program, members, employees and others are encouraged to make charitable contributions to AFMK during the month.
Also during April, credit union members can take advantage of a 10% discount on their 2015 Huron-Clinton Metroparks Park Pass just for being a member! Get your annual pass right at the credit union...then "Get Out And Play!"
