NuVision Federal Credit Union Announces Scholarship Program

CaptureHUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. � NuVision Federal Credit Union today announced its annual 2015 NuVision Scholarship Program to support local students pursuing post-secondary education. The credit union has been providing scholarships since 2008 to help promote educational opportunities and career enrichment within the communities it serves. This year, the NuVision Scholarship Program has significantly expanded to provide more money to more students across Los Angeles and Orange counties. Ten $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students attending a four-year college or university (public or private), community college, or pursuing trade certification in a vocational or technical school. Eligibility requirements and application forms are available on the NuVision website, www.NuVisionFederal.org. "We are excited to more than double the 2015 NuVision Scholarship Program this year to provide even more support to the students -- and future leaders -- of our communities," said L.J. Tarman, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at NuVision Federal Credit Union. "I am always inspired by the amazing talent coming out of our high schools. It is wonderful to have the opportunity to acknowledge a new group of incredible local students every year through this program, and we look forward to helping them achieve their goals." In addition to outlining their educational goals, activities, community service and awards, every scholarship applicant is asked to write a short essay on how new technologies will impact the future of banking. All applications and supporting materials will be accepted starting April 1, 2015 through May 29, 2015. The scholarship award recipients will be recognized at a reception to be held on Wednesday, July 22 at 5:00 p.m. at NuVisions Huntington Beach branch and headquarters location.
