1st Financial Federal Credit Union Supports Local Non-Profits

The Your Community 1st Grant program will give 1st Financial Federal Credit Union additional opportunities to support the St. Louis area through non-profit giving. St. Louis, MO - 1st Financial Federal Credit Union created the Helping People 1st Grant in 2014 to make a positive impact on the St. Louis community.� 1st Financial uses this program to work with 501(c)3 non-profit organizations that actively help the St. Louis area by providing resources for housing, financial literacy, job training, or education. While the Helping People 1st has been a success, there are still many other deserving causes that need support from the community.� As a part of their vision of "helping our members achieve their financial dreams", 1st Financial has created a new community giving program to help out a greater percentage of the St. Louis area.� The "Your Community 1st Grant" will create new opportunities for supporting areas of need while showcasing the work these non-profits do in the region. One member each quarter will receive a $500 donation from the credit union, to be used towards a need or organization that is doing work to help members of their community achieve personal or financial growth. (For example: Education, housing, financial literacy, etc.). �The member will work together with 1st Financial to decide how the funds could best be used to maximize the effect. "We work hard to find our nonprofit organizations that are strategically helping with jobs, education, housing, and financial literacy and form amazing relationships because we want to strengthen the community," said Tracy Verner, Brand Ambassador for 1st Financial Federal Credit Union.� "The Helping People 1st Grant has given us wonderful opportunities to work for amazing causes.� This new program helps us develop new partnerships with passionate individuals who fill a need in the community."
