Our "We Share a Common Thread Foundation" was established in 2011 to assist us in providing monetary donations, as well as to accept and distribute contributions, to numerous charities in need of support. The Credit Union exists to help people and the Foundation strives to enhance the lives of people in our local neighborhoods by providing assistance with food, shelter, clothing, health and education. Thanks to our many generous donors and more than 300 attendees, we raised more than $42,000 that will be used to support numerous worthy local causes, such as: assisting patients battling life-threatening diseases; stocking local food pantries; sheltering the homeless; helping youths in need; and much more. The fun-filled evening included music, dancing, refreshments, basket raffles, a silent auction, and an iPad Air raffle. More importantly, it gave attendees an opportunity to support worthy causes and organizations that help people in their own neighborhoods. "Jeanne DArc Credit Union considers social responsibility to be an integral part of our overall mission," said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne DArc Credit Union. "Our sense of duty and concern for the community, including those who reside therein, sparked our efforts and commitment to get involved with many area charities, including those that will benefit from Saturday nights fundraiser." At Jeanne DArc Credit Union, we truly believe and are proud to say & "we share a common thread."
