1st Financial Federal Credit Union Continued its Helping People 1st Grant program in January by partnering with the St. Charles City-County Library Foundation.
The St. Charles City-County Library Foundation works to ensure excellent library programs, services, and facilities for all people by developing and encouraging community investment and participation.� The Foundation is committed to creating programs that take the services of talented librarians outside of a traditional library experience and into the community.� Through funding, outreach, and engagement the Foundation educates the county on services and programs offered by the district and brings people into their branches.
In January, the 1st Financial Federal Credit Union Wentzville Branch employees held a month-long book donations drive and hosted bake sales to raise funds for the Foundation.� Additionally, 1st Financial employees volunteered at the Foundations headquarters where they sorted over 2000 books by age group and created 130 Early Literacy Kits for area preschoolers.�
At the end of the month, the Wentzville branch presented a check totaling $748.69 to the St. Charles City-County Library Foundation as part of the Helping People 1st Grant from 1st Financial Federal Credit Union.
The
Helping People 1st Grant program gives 1st Financial Federal Credit Union employees the opportunity to highlight 501(c)3 non-profit organizations that actively work to help the St. Louis area by providing resources for housing, financial literacy, job training, or education.
The branch employees promote the non-profit throughout the month in the branches and on social media, hold fundraising events, and volunteer during business hours in support of the chosen non-profit.� At the end of the month, 1st Financial employees present a check containing the grant and funds raised over the course of the month to the chosen non-profit organization.
