Oregon Community Credit Union Employees Volunteer on President's Day

downloadEugene, OR Like other financial institutions across the nation, Oregon Community branches were closed for business on Presidents Day, Monday, February 16th.� The employees, however, were not taking the day off they were�working hard on volunteer projects all across the community! OCCU is celebrated their fifth annual Volunteer Day by organizing over 250 employees at twenty-one different nonprofit organizations and schools in the Eugene, Springfield and Salem communities. Locations included: Boys and Girls Club of Emerald Valley Cascade Raptor Center Catholic Community Services Coburg Community Charter School Community Gardens Community Supported Shelter Emerald Valley BMX Eugene Mission Family Building Blocks in Salem Green Hill Humane Society Hendricks Park Mt. Pisgah Arboretum Mt. Vernon Elementary NextStep Recycling Parenting Now River Bend Elementary Saras Treasures St. Vincent de Paul Thurston Elementary Two Rivers Elementary Willamalane (at OCCU Corporate) Projects �included such tasks as reorganizing rooms for animal shelters, organizing donated clothes for resale, paint touch ups at local schools, removing debris and paving pathways at several outdoor venues, and making Play Doh for use by local youth programs.� Our employees were�easily identifiable in matching grey "Volunteer Day" shirts&and you cant miss the enthusiasm they shared on this day, which has become a well-loved tradition among staff!
