???????????????????????????????Sioux Falls, SD - Four years ago, Mark Sundvold was inspired when he heard about an Easter Basket Drive by a local radio station. Sundvold, vice president of operations at Service First Federal Credit Union in Sioux Falls, SD thought his generous employeeswould enjoybeing part of the drive and helping others in the community. "I brought the idea back to the staff and within a couple of days we had 50 completed baskets on their way to the radio station," Sundvold said. The Service First Federal Credit Union employees were so motivated by the experience, they decided to do it again. "After that, I knew we had something that we could make our own," he said. For the past three years, the group has sold Easter Baskets at Sanford Childrens Hospital, in Sioux Falls, and donated all proceeds to Childrens Miracle Network through a $25,000 endowment. The baskets are a favorite among Sanford Children's Hospital employees and visitors, who've helped account for a tremendous growth in sales. The first year the Service First Federal Credit Union team sold 50 baskets, and last year sold 115. "They sell themselves," Sundvold said, because the baskets are filled with eye-catching items, are beautifully wrapped and, best of all, because they support the sick and injured kids at Sanford Childrens. The enthusiastic credit union employees shop throughout the year, donating all the items neededfor the Easter baskets. It's a tradition they'll continue. "Even though our Childrens Miracle Network endowment has been fulfilled, we continue to raise awareness and funds for CMN," he said. In honor and recognition ofService First Credit Union's endowment gift,a waiting room at the Castle of Care is sponsored in its name.
