For the sixth consecutive year, Zeal Credit Union treated families with children, who are members of the Rock Star Savers program, to a free Rock n Roller Skate party at the Bonaventure Skate Center in Farmington Hills. The only request for admission was a canned food donation. This provided each guest with free admission, skate rental, pizza, and pop. More than 350 pounds of food were collected and donated to Gleaners Food Bank. "This event gives us the opportunity to thank our young savers and their families by providing some free family fun during the holiday season when finances can become tight," said Jeremy Cybulski, youth and community development coordinator for Zeal Credit Union. "It also gives everyone the opportunity to pitch in and help feed hungry people in our community." During the skate party, the credit unions well recognized Rock Star Savers mascot was on hand to greet more than 300 party guests and to help collect donations. Guests also had the opportunity to receive fun giveaways, play financial trivia and participate in a drawing for two VISA gift cards.
