CaptureMassachusetts - It has been a freezing cold month and St. Anne's Credit Union kept thinking about those less fortunate - if we were cold just being outside for a few minutes, what about those that were homeless? So, over the next month, you will see scarves, hats & mittens left throughout Fall River (and New Bedford, Somerset, Swansea, and Dartmouth all public locations near branches) with tags attached to them, saying things like "I'm not lost, please take me to keep you warm" - we even encourage those who take one to simply pay it forward. We hope this makes a difference in someone's life and brings some warmth to them (inside and out). This idea was brought about by a Teller at the Fairhaven Branch Claudia Demers, and since it was brought about the Credit Union has received great feedback from employees and Members alike one employee, Judy Mazza, from the Loan Servicing Department, donated 40 blankets (and continues to knit more, with employee Elaine Desmarais). If anyone would like to help, the Credit Union is taking donations of new items at any branch through the end of the month. Also follow our travels as we take pictures and post them to our Facebook page! This drive has been put together by 6 employees collecting, knitting, tagging, and placing these much needed items outside, shown in picture: Claudia Demers, Fairhaven Branch Teller; Grace Raposo-Freitas, Fairhaven Branch Senior Teller (not shown in picture); Elaine Desmarais, BSA Analyst; Kayleigh Holt, Marketing Assistant; Judy Mazza, Loan Servicing; and Kelly Baldwin, Marketing & CRA Officer.
