Central Minnesota Credit Union Offering Scholarships

To Be Eligible, You Must:

• Be a member of CMCU.
• Be planning to attend an accredited college or university, or a 2 to 4 year community, vocational or technical college. All eligible schools must be accredited by the U. S. Department of Education.
• Be a Full-Time or Part-Time Student at the school that you are planning to attend.
• Applicant cannot be a previous recipient of this scholarship.

Scholarship Topic Options & Application Rules

Option 1: $1000 Video Scholarship

For over 75 years, Central Minnesota Credit Union has been centered on our members by helping them meet their needs and goals. Create a 30-60 second video demonstrating how CMCU has been centered on you and why people should go to CMCU for their financial needs. Videos will be judged on creativity, originality, ability to deliver an impactful message. To apply for the video scholarship, you must:

• Upload your video to Youtube
• Title the video: "(Your first and last name) 2015 CMCU Scholar"
• Fill out the online application form
• Paste the Youtube link to your video in the allotted space

Option 2: $500 Essay Scholarship

For over 75 years, Central Minnesota Credit Union has been centered on our members by helping them meet their needs and goals. In 500 words or less, describe how CMCU has been centered on you and why people should go to CMCU for their financial needs.

• Essays must be typed. No handwritten essays will be considered.
• To apply for the essay scholarship, you must also submit the application form along with your essay. Mail application form and essay to: Central Minnesota Credit Union ATTN: Marketing 20 4th Ave SE, PO Box 10 Melrose, MN 56352

Download the application or submit your application online! Applications must be completed and postmarked or submitted electronically by February 1, 2015. Applications received online or postmarked after February 1, 2015 will not be considered. Disbursement of Funds & Accountability:

• The recipient is responsible for providing CMCU with their 2015 Fall transcript, showing the official grades and proof of registration for Spring 2016 to receive scholarship payment.
• Recipients must maintain a minimum of a 2.0 on a 4.0 GPA scale, or equivalent of a "C" average in order to receive their funds.
• Must be redeemed from CMCU by May 31, 2016.

**You may apply for both the video and essay scholarships, however you will only be able to win one.

Financial need is not considered in the selection of the scholarship money. Employees and immediate family members of CMCU employees are not eligible to enter. Transcripts and letters of recommendation sent with the application will not be considered. Video entries must not be derogatory, offensive, threatening, defamatory, disparaging, and libelous or contain any content that is inappropriate, sexual, profane, indecent, slanderous, and discriminatory in any way.
