Santa Gifts Head to Black Hills Childrens Home
December 19, 2012
Highmark FCU members, staff, and "Secret Santas" from the Black Hills community have been busy bringing in gifts for each child that is housed at the Black Hills Childrens Home campus in Rockerville, just south of Rapid City. All of the gifts for the childrens wish list will be returned to the Highmark FCU main office, by Monday, December 17 just in time to be wrapped and labeled for each child, in anticipation of the Black Hills Childrens Home Christmas Eve celebration.
However, the generous giving to the Black Hills Childrens Home wasnt limited to the purchase of gifts. There were several donations delivered to Highmark to cover extra holiday expenses at the Childrens Home. One generous and anonymous donor, who was physically unable to shop for gifts, sent in $400. The staff at Highmark FCU also pitched in to build on that donation. These extra funds will cover any last minute gifts and additional holiday needs that the Black Hills Childrens Home may have. The staff at Highmark Federal Credit Union presented a check for $500 to Theresa Schreiner, Volunteer Program and Development Coordinator, Black Hills Childrens Home.
This is the 3rd year that Highmark Federal Credit Union has partnered with the Black Hills Childrens Home to provide Christmas gifts to every child in their care.
