Hanscom AFB, Mass. � The Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation is proud to announce a donation of $30,375 to the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless, through the Credit Union Community Hope Initiative.
Based on the philosophical credit union commitment to social welfare, the Community Hope Initiative works to improve the quality of life for low- and moderate-income Massachusetts families. Working with the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless a Mass. Credit Union League partner of over 20 years the Initiative focuses this work on helping families find and maintain affordable, permanent homes.
"Massachusetts credit unions and the Coalition have a shared commitment that has grown incredibly deep over the past two decades," said Hanscom FCU Chairman of the Board Paul Marotta. "Whether its a delivery for the annual book drive or a check we hope to grow every year, we know any contribution we make is in the hands of people who know how to make the very most of it."
The Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation is a 503c nonprofit organization focused on providing donations, marshaling both human and financial resources and providing assistance where we can do the most good for the community. The Foundation distributes 100% of proceeds received, with nothing deducted for administrative expenses.
Hanscom Federal Credit Union, headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., serves 55,326 members across the country and overseas through 17 branches, over 100,000 service centers and surcharge-free ATMs, 24-hour telephone service and a web-based branch. The credit union holds over $1 billion in assets.
