Service Credit Union Supports Local Food Bank

downloadPORTSMOUTH Service Credit Union, in conjunction with University of New Hampshire, WOKQ and Z107, stepped up with a substantial contribution to the New Hampshire Food Bank. Service Credit Union Vice President of Marketing Karen Benedetti along with local radio personalities DJ Roy and Wendy Larsen from WOKQ, and DJ Jadd from Z107 presented checks to N.H. Food Bank Director, Melanie Gosselin. As part of the Service Credit Unions holiday giving campaign, the credit union teamed up with UNH and WOKQ to collect nonperishable foods in the branches and at sporting events to be donated to the N.H. Food Bank. Service Credit Union matched a $1 per pound collected. Service Credit Union also partnered with Z107 to do a week long turkey drive. During this one week period 135 turkeys were awarded to local families and the same numbers of turkeys were donated to the N.H. Food Bank. "Were proud to help our state food bank which does a wonderful job of fighting hunger in our communities," says Simmons. "Service Credit Union is fortunate to be able to step up during these times of extreme need for the New Hampshire Food Bank."
