North Star Community Credit Union Sending Holiday Mail for Heroes

GRAFTON, ND - The Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes program enables Americans to "Give Something That Means Something" this holiday season. The public is invited to send cards of thanks, encouragement and holiday cheer to members of our U.S. Armed Forces, veterans and military families, many of whom will be far away from home this holiday season.
To support this program, the Grafton branch of North Star Community Credit Union has set up a station where people may sign a holiday card that will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving our country.� When the credit union has a bundle of signed cards they will be sent off to the Red Cross to be distributed to the soldiers.
What a great way to remember our service men and women during the holidays!

Rules for participation:
- Ensure that all cards are signed.
- Only cards are being accepted. Do not send or include letters.
- Do not include email or home addresses on the cards: the program is not meant to foster pen pal relationships.
- Do not include inserts of any kind, including photos: these items will be removed during the reviewing process.
- Please refrain from choosing cards with glitter or using loose glitter as it can aggravate health issues of ill and injured warriors.
- If you are mailing a large quantity of cards, please bundle them and place them in large mailing envelopes or flat rate postal shipping boxes. Each card does not need its own envelope, as envelopes will be removed from all cards before distribution.
