Hanscom Federal Credit Union Helps Boost Morale

Presented in a ceremony on International Credit Union Day, the $1,500 award honors past and present Hanscom FCU board members by recognizing volunteer groups that serve its membership base. "As an organization that called a military base home, we know how vital groups like the Natick Soldiers Systems Center Civilian Welfare Fund are in times both good and bad," said Hanscom FCU Chairman of the Board Paul Marotta. "They make life on base better for all of us, a perfect fit for this years Board Memorial Award." The Civilian Welfare Fund organizes a variety of activities for both military and civilian personnel at the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center, boosting morale through social events it is committed to holding on at least a monthly basis. Hanscom Federal Credit Union, headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., serves 55,326 members across the country and overseas through 17 branches, over 100,000 service centers and surcharge-free ATMs, 24-hour telephone service and a web-based branch. The credit union holds over $1 billion in assets. Hanscom FCU offers members an array of products and services, including free checking and savings accounts, consumer loans and credit cards, investment and insurance services, and mortgages for primary, secondary, and investment properties. The Natick Soldiers Systems Center Civilian Welfare Fund recently accepted the Hanscom Federal Credit Union Board Memorial Award, with representatives from both organizations on hand for the announcement.
