Capture1Hanscom AFB, Mass. The Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation was a sponsor for the Mission Gratitude event hosted on November 10 by the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program. Mission Gratitude, a concert-style benefit for the Home Base Program, honored local military heroes and featured Harry Connick, Jr. and his 15-piece orchestra. Speakers included 2014 Medal of Honor recipient Staff Sergeant Ryan M. Pitts. The Home Base Program is one of the nation's only private sector clinics dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of our soldiers and their families. "We are well aware of the sacrifices made each and every day by those who served their country, including the burden placed on family members," said Paul Marotta, Chairman of the Board for Hanscom FCU. "We are honored to have a hand in giving back to those who gave so much. "We especially appreciate that Mission Gratitude event proceeds will directly fund the Home Base Program. Our charitable foundation also sends 100% of donations directly to beneficiaries, with nothing taken out for administrative costs."
