Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union Donates Over 600 Pounds of Food to Local Food Bank

Merrimack Valley Food Bank Delivery November 2014LOWELL, MA Jeanne DArc Credit Union is pleased to announce the donation of more than 600 pounds of non-perishable food items to the Merrimack Valley Food Bank, thanks to the generous contributions of the Credit Unions employees. "Our employees recognize social responsibility as an important part of our overall mission," said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne DArc Credit Union. "They know this can be a difficult time of year for those who are struggling to make ends meet and wanted to help make the season a little brighter for others. We are very proud to know we have such caring employees." The Merrimack Valley Food Bank, based in Lowell, is a nonprofit organization committed to providing nutritious food and personal care items to emergency feeding programs serving the low-income, homeless, and hungry. It is one of four food banks in Massachusetts that serves food pantries, shelters, soup kitchens, day and residential programs that, in turn, serve individuals and families.
