Dow Chemical Employees' Credit Union Raises $2,000 for Cancer Services

dowMIDLAND, MICH. Dow Chemical Employees Credit Union recently raised nearly $2,000 for Cancer Services of Midland through its fourth annual "Pink Out" silent auction. DCECUs management team and staff donated brand-new items for the auction; items up for bid included two Fitbit activity trackers, workout apparel and accessories, jewelry, autographed sports memorabilia, two pieces of art by a local artist, locally made maple syrup, and various gift baskets and gift cards. The fundraiser also featured a bake sale with items made by the staff. The internal event raised a total of $1,925. "The Pink Out is completely driven by the passion of our employees, who planned and executed all aspects of the event," said DCECU President/CEO Dennis Hanson. "Im proud to work with a team that truly believes in giving back to the community." The Pink Out is just one aspect of the credit unions year-round commitment to supporting local charities and community organizations. Other recent fundraisers have included "Jeans Days" and bake sales, which have supported Hidden Harvest, the American Red Cross, the Humane Society of Midland County and more.
