Credit Union Foundation Supports Scholarship Program

uecu�WOODBURY, Minn. �United Educators Foundation is now accepting applications for its annual High School student, Education Major student, and Educator Scholarship Awards. Applications are available on United Educators Credit Unions website at www.uecu.coop/scholarship, and are due Friday, February 13, 2015.
Student Awards:�The Foundation provides three $1,000 college scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are United Educators Credit Union members or the children, grandchildren, or other dependents of members. Applicants must be planning to attend a university, college, community college or technical college in the fall of 2015. Education Major Award:�One $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a student majoring in Education and entering their Junior or Senior year in the fall of 2015. Applicants must be attending an accredited college or university in the state of Minnesota or be a United Educators Credit Union member or the child or grandchild of a member. This award is available to non-UECU members. Educator Award:�One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a United Educators Credit Union member for the purpose of professional development in the education field. Applicants must have worked a minimum of 6 months in the field, and must plan to attend an accredited institution within one year of receiving the award. Applications are due Friday, February 13, 2015, and are available online at www.uecu.coop/scholarship. The United Educators Foundation was established in 2008 to generate and provide contributive funding and resources that advance educational initiatives and support charitable causes within the educational communities United Educators Credit Union cooperative serves. Education Minnesota also contributes to the scholarships awards.
