Credit Union Supports "Students of the Month"

Altura Sept Students of MonthHemet, Calif. � Seven high school students from Hemet and San Jacinto were recently honored as "Students of the Month." They were the first group of students recognized for the 2014-2015 academic year in a program founded and supported by Altura Credit Union, as well as the San Jacinto and Hemet/San Jacinto Valley Chambers of Commerce. Two students from the San Jacinto Unified School District were named students of the month:� Alexis Durham from San Jacinto High School and John Carbajal from Mountain View H.S. /Mountain Heights Academy. Five Hemet Unified School District Students were also named student of the month:� Amarissa Buton from Tahquitz High School, Jane Kester from Hamilton High School; Morgan Lawrence from Hemet High School; Luz Monroy from West Valley High School; and Sara Joy Bell from Alessandro High School. The honors were handed out at a recent breakfast attended by local dignitaries, program sponsors, school administrators, Student of the Month committee members, aswell as high school principals, nominating teachers, parents and guests of the student honorees. This is the programs second year in Hemet/San Jacinto.
