Credit Union Supports Local Food Bank

usvgsopenhouse2   Fargo, ND - On Friday, October 24th, United Savings Credit Union celebrated member appreciation by holding their annual open house events at all three credit union locations.� They served coffee, cookies and other goodies along with lunch, and handed out calendars for 2015.� Members who attended were also eligible to sign up for drawings for cash prizes. Friday, October 24, also marked the kickoff of a fundraiser, as United Savings teamed up with the Great Plains Food Bank for a two week event to raise money for hunger relief in Fargo/Moorhead.� Through their partnership with the Great Plains Food Bank, they learned that each $1 raised provides 4 meals!� The credit unions initial goal was to provide 3,500 meals, but by the end of the first day they had already surpassed that goal by over 1,000 meals!� United Savings CU is ecstatic with the fundraiser kickoff success and hopes to continue the momentum over the next two weeks in order to provide as many meals as possible for their community.� All funds raised during the event will remain local to help end hunger in Fargo/Moorhead.
