tccu tetwp2   Minot, ND - Each year Town & Country Credit Union supports the Minot Y's Men's Rodeo by sponsoring the Saddle Bronc division of the Rodeo. They also support the rodeo by incorporating a fundraiser for Tough Enough to Wear Pink (TETWP). Funds donated to Tough Enough to Wear Pink stay local and are used to support the Trinity Exercise Cancer Rehabilitation Program at the Minot YMCA. Last year the credit union raised $2,500 from a Silent Auction and a Taco-in-a-Bag lunch. However, this year the credit union surpassed last years fundraiser by raising $3,000! "As a credit union rooted in agriculture member business lending, we love rodeo week," said Darrell Olson, President of Town & Country Credit Union. "Its an engaging way to show support for our members and their interests, not to mention our staff has a lot of fun with the week and all of the money raised goes to a great cause," he added. The extra funds collected this year can be attributed to the fact that the credit union took a note from the annual GAC fundraiser at the CUAD Summit and tried a Chinese Auction. The most popular basket that was bid on was a Grand Forks UND hockey basket created by the Town & Country Minot Business Lending Department. Nearly $500 in tickets was raised from this basket alone! The credit union also hosted a 102.9 WGO Pink Party Radio Remote where TETWP merchandise was on sale as well as Taco-in-a-Bag. The contestants for Miss Rodeo North Dakota even stopped by and helped serve lunch!
