TEXAS CITY, TX - On Friday, October 17, 2014, AMOCO Federal Credit Union sponsored an adoption day for the League City Animal Shelter from which a total of 40 pets found fur-ever homes!
AMOCOs event at the League City Animal Shelter concluded with 40 happy endings.� Pets that have been sheltered for days, or in some cases, months, were able to finally find a place called home. The turnout was amazing, and the overwhelming amount of adoptions was the most the shelter has seen in one day!

Nine AMOCO volunteers dedicated a full day to:� play, walk and clean animal kennels. In addition to providing volunteers, AMOCO also covered all the adoption fees for the day. Pretty Pets Mobile Grooming came out and groomed 10 pooches so they could be ready for adoption.
Tim Paulissen, League Citys Mayor, joined the days festivities and even had a photo shoot with a shelter dog named Baxter, who also ended up getting adopted. "This event was absolutely amazing; I love that we can extend our services beyond our membership. We make a difference every day and its exciting for us to be doing the same for animals," said Culture and Communications VP, Tina Foster.
AMOCO would like to thank the League City Animal Shelter for letting us come out, Pretty Pets Mobile Grooming for getting the pets presentable for adoption, and most importantly, the families that adopted the pets.� Thank you!
