voyagehabitat1Sioux Falls, SD - Last week was the final Habitat for Humanity build of the year for Voyage Federal Credit Union. Over the last six months, they have worked over 300 volunteer hours with their six business partners, hammered thousands of nails, and served around 200 pizza slices donated by Orion Foods and eaten by over 100 volunteers! Last week, business partners from Raven Industries met up with Voyage volunteers on Wednesday and Saturday. The first group on Wednesday evening completed smaller jobs ranging from window trim, rock spreading, siding, and sealing. Saturdays crew installed soffit and fascia, as well as foam insulation inside two of the project homes. "One of the best things about Wednesdays shift was the opportunity to work alongside some of the future home owners and to see their dedication to the project" said Molly Brown, Voyage FCU Marketing Coordinator. "It really inspired me and reminded me how grateful we all need to be." According to Brown, they are already looking forward to next years projects. "Thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers, business partners, habitat employees and community" added Brown. "It was a great summer and every single group was wonderful to work with!"
