Livonia, Mich.�- �In celebration of International Credit Union Week, October 13 18, 2014, Zeal Credit Union is participating in a variety of activities and fundraisers.
During the official International Credit Union Day, Thursday, October 16, Zeal Credit Union is inviting members to participate in "Shop for Miracles."� This is a one-day Credit Unions for Kids campaign to raise funds for Beaumont Childrens Hospital, the local Childrens Miracle Network Hospital.
Each time members use their Zeal Credit Union-issued credit or debit card on Thursday, October 16, Zeal Credit Union will donate a quarter to Beaumont Childrens Hospital.� Funds raised stay in the community to help support the hospitals greatest needs, including life-saving research, equipment and charitable care.
"Helping children receive much-needed medical care is one of the many ways that credit unions work together to demonstrate their cooperative spirit and the credit union philosophy of "people helping people," said Lisa Fawcett, vice president of marketing for Zeal Credit Union. "Its our members who help us make the difference locally and worldwide."

Monday, October 13, beginning at 9 a.m. to 12 noon, Friday, October 17: An online silent auction to benefit the Childrens Miracle Network and A Strong Financial Michigan Defense Fund, available at

Wednesday, October 15, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.: Zombie Mental Math Adventure for kids at the Westland Public Library, 6123 Central City Parkway, Westland.
Thursday, October 16: Visitors to all Zeal Credit Union branches during regular business hours will receive special giveaways.
Saturday, October 18, 9 a.m. 1 p.m.: Free Shred Day at Zeal Credit Unions Southfield branch, located at 25123 Southfield Road.� Non-perishable food donations for Gleaners Food Bank will be collected.
