Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union (AACFCU) took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to a different level to help raise funds for three organizations. Instead of doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge with water, AACFCU employees put a different spin on the challenge by not using water, but rather making a donation to The Water Project, an organization that builds wells to provide clean water to communities in Africa. AACFCU also supported the Whipping Childhood Cancer Challenge to raise awareness for the 46 children diagnosed and the seven lost every day to childhood cancer. AACFCU challenged IAM Community Federal Credit Union to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. AACFCU also challenged Five Star Credit Union to the Whipping Childhood Cancer Challenge. AACFCU donated $1,000 to each organization, ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) Association, The Water Project and The Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders for Childhood Cancer Research.
