Credit Union Sponsoring Free Recycling and Shred Day

american eagleEAST HARTFORD, CT - American Eagle Federal Credit Union is sponsoring a free�� Drive-Thru Electronic Recycling and Paper Shred Day on Saturday, October 4 from 9 a.m.to noon at American Eagle Federal Credit Union, 417 Main Street in East Hartford. Safe and secure electronic recycling will be provided by SpaceFitters. Bring unwanted computers, laptops, monitors, printers, computer cables/wires/mice, televisions, telephones, light bulbs, batteries, and lamps. DO NOT BRING:�air conditioners, kitchen appliances, microwave ovens, freezers,�or clothes washers/dryers. Safe and secure paper shredding will be provided by Iron Mountain. Bring up to three boxes/bags of paper (per person) for on-site confidential shredding. This includes office paper and file folders. You may leave in staples, paper clips, and rubber bands. DO NOT BRING: binders and regular trash. The shredding event will take place rain or shine. For more information, visit americaneagle.org. "This is our third year hosting a Shred Day. "This event will provide individuals with a sense of confidence in knowing they are able to dispose of documents and unwanted electronics in a safe and secure way," added Kennedy.
