Credit Union Holding Free Community Shred Day Events

CaptureLivonia, Mich. -�Zeal Credit Union, formerly known as Co-op Services Credit Union, is hosting two free Community Shred Day events in October.� The document shredding events are open to the public with a limit of five bags or boxes of personal documents. Participants are invited to bring donations of non-perishable food items that will be donated to local food pantries.
The first event will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, October 4, 2014, in the parking lot of the Zeal Credit Union branch, located at 22000 Allen Road in Woodhaven.�
The second document shredding event will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at the credit unions Southfield branch located at 25123 Southfield Road.�
����������� "Hosting these events enables us to help our members and others in the community ensure that their personal information is protected," said Lisa Fawcett, vice president of marketing for Zeal Credit Union. "By collecting food items from attendees, we are able to extend our outreach to help feed the hungry in the Detroit metro area."
����������� Food items donated at the Woodhaven event will be distributed to the Fish and Loaves Community Food Pantry, and at the Southfield event to Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan
