Credit Union Awards Classroom Grants for Financial Literacy

Sioux Falls FCU Adopt-A-ClassroomSioux Falls, SD - Six area classroom teachers have been awarded Adopt-A-Classroom grants to help them teach financial literacy to their students. "We are happy to support these teachers with their financial literacy projects. We feel that its incredibly important to provide students in our community with the opportunity to learn how to manage money and how to make wise financial decisions," said Sioux Falls Federal Credit Union President/CEO Fran Sommerfeld. Grants were awarded to the following teachers:
  • Curt Rogness, Sioux Falls Terry Redlin Elementary 5th grade teacher
  • Sarah Burkett, Sioux Falls Lincoln High School Geography teacher
  • Rebecca Dorr, Montrose Elementary Kindergarten teacher
  • Dar Steenholdt, Career & Technical Education Academy Human Services teacher
  • Kindra Schneider, Sioux Falls Terry Redlin Elementary ELL teacher
  • Cyndi Underberg, Sioux Falls Terry Redlin Elementary 5th grade teacher
Sioux Falls Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1934 and currently serves anyone who lives or works in Minnehaha, Lincoln, McCook and Turner counties of South Dakota. The not-for-profit cooperative has over 27,000 members with six Sioux Falls locations.
