Credit Union Supports Local Scholarships with $1,000 Donation

ICscholarshipFitchburg, MA This year will mark the 34th anniversary of the Slatterys Restaurant Turkey Trot Road Race which benefits their scholarship program. Thus far $201,000 has been awarded to local students from the proceeds of the race. IC Federal Credit Union, sponsoring once again for $1,000, also participates by volunteering or partaking in the road race itself. "Its a 34 year-old tradition that we are proud to be a part of," said Tony Emerson, President & CEO of IC, "and theres something for everyone." "Were grateful for this donation," stated Dave Celuzza, owner of Slatterys "and are happy to have Mr. Emerson, an avid runner, participate in the race as well." The Turkey Trot provides prizes for recreational and professional runners, as well as prizes for fitness walkers and even the kids have their own special races: 4 years old and under, "The Dash," and ages 5-12 can participate in "The Loop."
