CaptureFALL RIVER, MASSACHUSETTS - St. Annes Credit Unions employees recently held their yearly "Tools for Schools" Drive and collected 40 backpacks along with 3 big boxes stuffed with school supplies to be donated to a local elementary school in New Bedford. Each backpack is packed with supplies for the students, like a pencil box full of pens and pencils, a notebook and folder, scissors, glue, and many other things they will need for the coming school year. Over the course of the last month St. Annes employees from all of the different branches and departments sent boxes of supplies and backpacks to the corporate office, where the coordinators of the backpack drive (Kelly Baldwin, Marketing and CRA Officer, and Kayleigh Holt, Marketing Assistant) went through and organized all of the donated items. Employees donated the majority of the school supplies and 20 backpacks. When the drive was done, Ross R. Upton, St. Annes President/CEO matched the backpack count and provided the remaining necessary supplies on behalf of St. Annes. The backpacks were then filled, each receiving the same variety of items, by Kayleigh Holt and Brandise Luciano (Swansea Branch Head Teller).
