Credit Union Golf Outing Raises Over $28,000 for Children in Need

Capture(Indianapolis, IN)� Indiana Members Foundation, the charitable arm of Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU), hosted its 6th Annual Golf Outing at Maple Creek Golf Course and Country Club in Indianapolis, on Wednesday, June 25, 2014.� 138 golfers attended the sold out event which raised over $28,000 to benefit the Indiana Members Foundation, whose mission is to support children in the Indianapolis and surrounding communities, in large part, through the Indy BackPack Attack Program (Indy BPA).� The Indy BPA is an agency devoted to providing children with the tools essential to succeed in school such as; backpacks, pens, pencils and other necessary school supplies. Highlights of the day included a complimentary breakfast, a hole-in-one and putting contest, as well as a recognition dinner.� Primary event sponsors included EMS, Ivan Ekhaus Insurance, WPB Constructors Inc., QSI Banking, Jack Henry/Symitar, and Indiana Members Credit Union. Mandy Emery, vice president of community involvement for IMCU and executive director of Indiana Members Foundation stated, "We had a fantastic event this year thanks to the generosity and the support of employees, board members, vendors and friends, all coming together to help raise funds to put the tools essential to learn into the hands of underserved children in Central Indiana."
