Credit Union Toy Drive Supports Children's Miracle Network

toy driveHUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.� NuVision Federal Credit Union today announced a series of philanthropic initiatives to support the Childrens Miracle Network benefiting the Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA) and Childrens Hospital of Orange County (CHOC).� � The credit unions 14 branches across Los Angeles and Orange Counties recently completed a Toy Drive resulting in two large bins of brand new toys delivered this month to CHLA and CHOC. The toys will help enhance the hospitals group and bedside activities, stock their playrooms, and help celebrate special occasions such as holidays and patient birthdays in the hospital. � NuVision also donated books to CHLA in support of their Literally Healing program, which uses books to lift the spirits of patients and their families.� The books will augment the hospitals dedicated therapeutic library of more than 1,000 specially selected books. � For the past five years, NuVision employees and their families have participated in the annual CHOC Walk in the Park at Disneyland Resort, and NuVision will once again participate in this important event in October 2014. In fact, since 2010 the credit union staff has raised over $24,000 through CHOC Walk and other fundraising activities on behalf of Childrens Miracle Network and CHOC.
