CaptureLOWELL MA Jeanne DArc Credit Union is pleased to announce that, in association with the Durkin Company, we have established an initiative with the Valley Collaborative to bring their student and adult services program to the Credit Union. The Valley Collaboratives Vocational Services Department has a mission of providing an environment where people are given the opportunity and support to reach their academic and vocational potential. At Jeanne DArc Credit Union, a supervised crew of up to five Valley Collaborative workers and one job coach will work three four-hour days each week for nine months (spring, summer, and fall). "We are very pleased to have established this relationship with the Valley Collaborative," said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne DArc Credit Union. "We have no doubt that the workers will do an excellent job. This is another small way in which the Credit Union can give back to our community." The initiative benefits both the Credit Union and the Valley Collaborative. Jeanne DArc will gain the assistance of dedicated workers, while the students involved will learn job skills, improve their self-esteem, and become involved in a community that encourages learning. About Jeanne DArc Credit Union: Jeanne DArc Credit Union was established in 1912 and is a full-service, member-owned community-based financial cooperative with more than 64,000 members and $1 billion in assets.
