Fitchburg, MA Members and volunteers of the Boys & Girls Club of Leominster, along with employee volunteers from IC Federal Credit Union and Slatterys Restaurant of Fitchburg came together on Tuesday, July 29thto provide a fresh-cooked meal for our neighbors in need. "Homeless families living in shelters and hotels dont typically have access to a kitchen in which they can cook a nice hot meal for their loved ones," said Tony Emerson, President & CEO of IC. "We were humbled to be able to provide that, as well as an area for the kids to run around and enjoy the playground for a little while."
The evening was held at the Boys & Girls Club on Lindell Avenue in Leominster. For more information on how you can help or donate food, clothing and other much needed supplies, please contact St. Marks Church of Leominster at 978-537-3560, or the Boys & Girls Club at 978-534-8358.
