BHFCU Insurance Services in Rapid City is the recipient of a Safeco Insurance� Make More Happen Award for its volunteer service with Childrens Miracle Network Rapid City Regional Office.
The award includes a $3,000 donation from Safeco Insurance for Childrens Miracle Network - Rapid City Regional Hospital Foundation and entry in the Safeco� Make More Happen Contest, where the public is encouraged to vote for their favorite charity and leave a virtual cheer for those who make a difference in their communities.
Safeco Insurance will donate $10,000 to the charity with the most votes and $5,000 to the runner-up. All nonprofit organizations featured in the contest will receive an additional $500 donation from Safeco if the total votes in the contest reach or exceed 25,000 votes.

Votes can be cast in the Safeco Insurance Make More Happen contest once every 24 hours from 11 a.m. MST July 28 until 11 a.m. MST Aug. 18.
BHFCU Insurance Services was selected for the Safeco� Make More Happen Award based on a photo and application demonstrating how agency volunteers make more happen for Childrens Miracle Network - Rapid City Regional Hospital Foundation, which serves Rapid City and surrounding areas.
When Traie Roberson of BHFCU Insurance Services had a premature baby in 2009, Rapid City Regional Hospital was the only nearby facility equipped to treat her vulnerable infant. The experience made her passionate about the hospitals Childrens Miracle Network. This year is the 25
th anniversary of The Great Black Hills Duck Race benefiting Childrens Miracle Network. BHFCU not only helps to sell the ducks and promote the race, it also brings in additional money by offering raffles for prizes and reserved parking spots.
