The Credit Union Association of the Dakotas (CUAD) is excited to announce that our digital platform, CU Social Good, has just partnered with CafeGive Social! Launched by CUAD in 2013 and recognized by CUNA in 2014 as the "Best Community Relations Program," CU Social Good is the only online platform dedicated solely to the sharing of the good things that credit unions do for people and their communities every day.� Since the initial launch, over 2,300 amazing stories from 42 states have been posted! �While many people (outside of the credit union world) are uninformed about the credit union difference and unaware of the very nature of credit unions and their "People Helping People" philosophy, CU Social Good is helping to change that.� Now, it is time to start gathering some hard data.� That is where CafeGive Social comes into the picture. CafeGive Social is a certified B Corporation dedicated to the triple bottom line and mantra that companies who give back will be fundamentally more successful. Founded with a goal of giving organizations tools that allow them to focus on "Return on Intent" rather than "Return on Investment", their offering of social impact products helps credit unions tell the story of their community involvement in an authentic, meaningful way building brand and product preference for credit unions. With CafeGive, CU Social Good will now be able to aggregate the data provided by credit unions to generate customized social impact reports in a usable form, putting real numbers to the benefits that credit unions provide to their communities.� These numbers can then be used by credit unions across the country, not only for public relations and consumer awareness, but for legislative advocacy as we continue our battle against burdensome regulations and attacks on our tax exempt status.� The partnership between CU Social Good and CafeGive will take CU Social Good to the next level:� Affecting change for credit unions at the local, state, and national levels. Over the next several weeks, CUAD will be working with CafeGive on a prototype, and following a complete testing with beta credit unions, a launch for all credit unions is anticipated for September, 2014.
