Credit Union Sponsors Tennis Tournament

CaptureEdwardsville, Illinois Scott Credit Union recently signed on to be a silver sponsor of this years Futures Tennis Tournament that will be held Aug 4-10 in Edwardsville.
Scott Credit Union Community Relations Representative Jennifer Riebold presented a check for $1,000 to Dave Lipe, the Co-director of the Edwardsville Futures hosted by the EGHM Foundation.
Edwardsville Futures is a USTA Mens $10,000 tennis tournament held annually at Edwardsville High School. Hosted by the EGHM Foundation, this USTA Pro Circuit event is one of the largest tennis events in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area.
The event features more than 100 players from over 20 countries and provides our community the opportunity to welcome more than 1,500 fans throughout the week from surrounding areas.
The tournament allows children and adults the chance to get an up-close look at the future of professional tennis, Lipe said.
The main draw for the tournament will begin on Tuesday, Aug 5 at Edwardsville High school with 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams competing for a portion of the $10,000 prize purse. The finals match will take place Sunday, Aug 10.
Scott Credit Union will have its mobile ATM available throughout the tournament and will have volunteers on site during Kids Day on Saturday, Aug 9.
"This is another opportunity for us to support our community and the people who live here," Riebold said. "We are very happy to be able to help bring this event to our community."

Scott Credit Union has made giving back to its communities a major priority. The local credit union contributed over $325,000 and its employees volunteered over 2,400 hours to a variety of local civic efforts throughout the region in 2013.

Anyone who lives or works in St. Louis County, Missouri also can open accounts at SCU. Additionally, anyone active or retired military also can have accounts with Scott Credit Union.
