Credit Union Awards $5,000 in Scholarships

Miramar, FL � Tropical Financial Credit Union, one of the largest not-for-profit� credit unions in South Florida, announced the recipients of its first scholarship program aimed at helping young adults further their education. Tropical Financial awarded five $1,000 scholarships during a recent ceremony at its corporate headquarters in Miramar. The five were selected from approximately 20 people who applied.� The five recipients are:
- Morgan Harley, from Cooper City, is currently attending the University of Florida and is pursuing a dual Bachelors degree in Finance and Masters degree in International Business.
- Priscilla Lozano, from Miami, plans on graduating from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Sciences. She has high hopes in attending Medical School shortly after.
- Aiseosa Osaghae, from Miami, plans on obtaining her Bachelors degree from the University of Miami. She also hopes to attend medical school and eventually become a pediatrician.
- Gabrielle Graham, of Loxahatchee,will attend Duke University this fall as a freshman along with her sister Giselle, another award scholarship recipient. Gabrielle plans on studying Biology and Global Health and then would like to attend medical school.
- Giselle Graham, of Loxahatchee, will also be entering Duke University as a freshman where she plans to pursue a degree in International Relations. After she receives her undergraduate degree she plans on attending law school.
