Credit Union Raises Over $8,000 for Relay For Life

DCU BingoPottstown, PA - On Friday, June 20, Diamond Credit Union held its Ninth Annual Bingo Event to support the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. The event had a great response, welcoming over 200 players and raising more than $8,000 for the Relay. Welsh Subaru of Limerick sponsored the event which took place at Norco Fire Company, Pottstown, Pa. The theme was "Winners Choice: Designer Bags." Players were given a choice between Coach or Vera Bradley bags. The prizes that were not chosen were added to the Jackpot raffle, which already included two large items. The event also featured food and drinks for sale, a 50/50 raffle which raised over $600 for the winner, three games of specials, and an assortment of door prizes. "The annual Bingo Fundraiser is a wonderful example of the younity concept we are so proud of at Diamond. Its about employees volunteering their time and talents to execute the event. Its about inviting the whole community to join us. Its about realizing that our partnership with Welsh Subaru doesnt stop at car loans, but is about coming together for a good cause. And perhaps most importantly, its about making an impact in the fight against cancer," stated John Faust, President/CEO of Diamond Credit Union.
