LOWELL, MA� Jeanne DArc Credit Union is pleased to announce the winners of this years MoneyStrong college scholarship program. The winners received a total of $9,500 to help fund their education costs.
"College expenses have risen dramatically in recent years and we are happy to provide hard-working local students with assistance in meeting those costs," said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne DArc Credit Union.
The winners of Jeanne DArc Credit Unions 14
th annual scholarship contest were asked to respond to the following: "What is the most important financial lesson you have learned, and how does your credit union membership factor into that lesson?"� The submitted essays were informative and well-written. The high school winners each received a $500 scholarship at a recent reception at Jeanne DArc Credit Unions headquarters at 1 Tremont Place, Lowell. The five college winners each received a $1,000 scholarship at the reception.
The MoneyStrong scholarship winners include: Theresa Zannoni, Central Catholic High School; Michael DEon, Central Catholic High School; Christopher Belanger, Dracut High School; Ryan Scarfo, The Governors Academy; Michelle Herlihy, Groton-Dunstable Regional High School; Andrew McCarthy, Lowell High School; Dylan Kirby, Tyngsboro High School; Alyssa Huggins, Alvirne High School; Josephat Reault, Bishop Guertin High School; Alicia Herlihy, Keene State College; Amy Vachon, Saint Anselm College; Gabrielle Grant, College of the Holy Cross; Kreg Kaminski, University of Massachusetts Lowell; and Lauren Ramirez, University of Massachusetts Lowell.
