Credit Union Supports Financial Literacy with FREE Seminar

1st financialSt. Charles, MO- 1st Financial Federal Credit Union continues its Educational Seminar Series by partnering with the Missouri Parents as Teachers program, bringing parents and educators together. Parents As Teachers believe that parents are a childs strongest influence in early education.� Each decision a parent makes during development plays a big part in shaping that childs life.� Taking an active role in early childhood education often feels like a daunting experience.� Ignoring this responsibility however means that when school starts the child is already playing catch-up.� Starting an early educational plan breeds success and creates a foundation for future academic growth. 1st Financial Federal Credit Union is excited to host "Parents As Early Educators", a seminar about early childhood education and school preparedness: Thursday, June 26th 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 1st Financial St. Charles Branch- 1550 Country Club Plaza Drive The free session is open to all parents and soon to be parents in St. Charles County.� This is the second of four seminars 1st Financial is hosting in 2014 with the goal of educating members on various financial topics.� Ann Young of Parents as Teachers will be the keynote speaker for this class. Topics for discussion will include:
  • Benefits of early childhood education in the home
  • Engaging children to improve reading and motor skills
  • Strategies for successful learning
  • Local educational resources for families
