Credit Union FREE Shred Day Stocks Local Food Pantry

Fish and Loaves Donation (3)Allen Park, Mich.�� Nearly 175 people protected their personal information by participating in Rivers Edge Financials free Community Shred Day event in May at the credit unions Woodhaven branch on Allen Road.� Those who attended demonstrated their generosity by donating 100 dollars and 675 pounds of non-perishable food items for the Fish and Loaves Community Food Pantry in Taylor.�

Rivers Edge Financial is a division of Co-op Services Credit Union, which periodically hosts free Shred Day events for members and others in the community.� This year, services were provided by American Data Security.

"Whenever we host free events like this, everyone who participates enables us to pay it forward to others in our community who are less fortunate," said Lisa Fawcett, vice president of marketing for Co-op Services Credit Union.� "Its a good feeling all around."
