Credit Union Provides Free Shredding for Community

Financial losses tied to identity theft have been estimated north of $21 billion.� Some of the basic tactics of identity theft remain dumpster diving for personal documents and stealing mail.� In order to help members keep personal information personal,�Oregon Community Credit Unions� held an annual "Shred Fest"� on Saturday, May 17.� The event was free and�open to the public.��On-the-spot shredding was provided by Access Information Management at two different OCCU locations.
