dowMIDLAND, MICH., Recently, Dow Chemical Employees Credit Union employees took advantage of a rare afternoon of sunshine to clean almost a mile of the boulevard area in front of the credit union. Staff members in bright-yellow reflector vests cleaned up trash and other debris between East Lyon and East Patrick roads between Pine and Washington streets, including the area around the bicycle and pedestrian path that runs through the boulevard area. "Giving back is one of DCECUs core values," said President/CEO Dennis Hanson. "Our employees are committed to this principle and demonstrate it through everything from member service within the credit union to service projects out in the community. I couldnt be more proud of the contributions our team makes to keeping our community strong and vibrant." Last month, employees teamed up to clean nearly three miles of median and shoulder area along US-10 between the Stark Road and Eastman Road exits. In addition to volunteer events such as the roadway cleanup projects, employees also engage in fundraising for various causes. Already in 2014, the employees have raised nearly $1,000 for charitable and community organizations through regular Jeans Day fundraisers. About Dow Chemical Employees Credit Union DCECU has more than $1.4 billion in assets and nearly 57,000 members. Not a member? Its easier than ever to join.
